Congratulations. Way to represent for L.A. food bloggers. Really looking forward to the episode.
Awesome! Even though it's probably going to make me want to puke, I'm going to watch the whole way through :) Going to schedule the DVR right now...
That's awesome!!! Congrats, must have been quite a week! :D
Man I want a chance like that too ..
I may turn my head away a couple times, but I'll watch!
Can't wait to see -- or not see but hear, as the case may be... ;)
Also waiting to hear about your spinoff series too!
Javier man, I don't have cable. Do you think it'll be available anywhere online?
Hi Javier,
Oh wow! Congrats! (^_^) I can't wait to see you on. If you can DVR / TIVO this, throw it up on Youtube or stream it on your site as well. :)
I'm watching it right now and decided to look up your blog. And I agree with food gps...Thanks for representing LA at its best!

Great Segment! Where can I get menudo comparable to what you make and where can I get the chapulitas (fried grasshoppers?)
I'm watching the show right now. Wonderful!
Great episode on real LA food! Caught the rerun on Food Channel. Keep up the good work! The menudo looked really awesome.
Was just watching you on The Food Network! Bizarre Foods With Andrew, way to show the REAL way we eat that Menudo! Good Job Javier!!
Javier! Great episode, I dvr'd it ages ago, finally got a chance to watch it! While your segment was on, it reminded me of the many gatherings my family has had at my mom's house in Santa Ana...this Saturday we're hosting a baby shower, y vamos a tener pozole verde y frijoles con chorizo....food of the gods, I tell ya!

Hey Javier! Just stopping by to see how you're doing. Are you still blogging? Hope all is well.
Saw the episode today, and I just want to say ORALE! to you and your familia.
The food looked fantastic--how anyone can think that the food is gross is beyond me.
BTW--my parents are from Zacatecas, too.
Saludos!
Dude if you eat such nice food all the time why don't you try painting the outside of your house. It really looks lik you are in the Mexican ghetto. Another sad yet accepted fact of America
The best place for Menudo is a resteraunt called Camino Real Resteraunt in La Puente Califorina. It is made fresh every weekend. It is a tiny mom and pop thats been around for 30 years the owners are also from Zacatecas like Javier and his family. REALLY GOOD MENUDO!!!!!
